Prepare an integration brief
The information that helps scope a connected workflow.
Describe the event
What starts the workflow, and which system records it? Include a redacted example.
Follow the data
Name the fields, source and destination. Record which system can change each value.
Plan for failure
Consider duplicates, unavailable systems, retries and partial completion. Assign an owner for exceptions.
Set access boundaries
List the required permissions. Share credentials only through an agreed secure process, never inside a general enquiry.
Define acceptance
Write the expected result for a typical request and for an error case. Decide how the change will be monitored.
